Strike colour key
Colour codes indicate how long ago the lightning strike occurred. Lightning strikes are displayed as crosses and fade from white (current) to red (30 minutes ago) to blue (60 minutes ago).

Handy tip
Distance and latitude/longitude coordinates are displayed next to the time stamp when you mouse over the map. The origin for distance measuring is indicated by a red dot and can be set by clicking on the map. You can use this to calculate how far away an approaching storm is from your location.
