A group of female leaders from Essential Energy have celebrated the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women at the 2024 Women in Leadership Summit in Sydney on February 28-29.
Essential Energy’s Chief People Officer Amalie Smith says it’s the second year of Essential Energy’s representation at the summit, ahead of International Women's Day on March 8.
“We selected a group of high performing female individual leaders and people leaders to attend the summit to focus on their development in an inspiring environment, where they can build connections across both Essential Energy and broader industries,” Amalie explains.
“In the lead up to International Women’s Day, this is an important signal to women in our business about how much we truly value them and the significant contribution they make right across our organisation.
“Essential Energy has a pivotal role in the energy transition and our highly skilled and talented workforce must represent the communities in which we live and serve.
“We are taking real action to nurture and grow our representation across all diversity groups, so this summit is a great example of that action for our female leaders. It’s critical to retention and demonstrates our commitment to future female leaders at Essential Energy.”
The theme of this year’s Summit is 'breaking barriers, building bridges and celebrating empowerment’ with special guest keynote from the 67th United States Secretary, Hillary Rodham Clinton.
Covering cutting edge issues, leadership challenges and the opportunity to genuinely connect, the Essential Energy team networked with and inspired others during the event.
