Night Vision is a security lighting solution that operates on existing network equipment from dusk until dawn.
It is intended to increase security, help reduce unlawful activity and potentially increase night time advertising on your industrial property. The lights are purchased and installed by Essential Energy, and the service provided to customers on subscription basis.
Where is Night Vision available?
The Night Vision service can be installed anywhere there are existing Essential Energy assets. It is available across the Essential Energy Network area. To see if you are in our area refer to our map.
How much does it cost?
Customers are charged a monthly fee per light installed, with the fee varying depending on the wattage of the light chosen.
An installation fee typically applies, however it may be waived if the contracted period is longer than the capital recovery period of installation.

How do I apply?
To apply for a night vision service, complete the application form CEOF6738 - Night Vision Agreement, providing details on the area to be illuminated (including a photo if possible) and forward to night.vision@essentialenergy.com.au. A member of our Public Lighting team will contact you with a contract agreement and next steps.
Anything else I should know?
To buy and install a similar system yourself could cost you several thousand dollars. On the standard Night Vision package Essential Energy takes care of everything, including installation and maintenance of the lights. So there is nothing for you to worry about!
