As a Graduate Engineer with Essential Energy, you’ll be able to grow and build your knowledge and skills while delivering real time engineering solutions and advice. You’ll rotate throughout the organisation, working with industry experts, having a direct impact on the energy transition to renewables by providing great outcomes to our customers in regional NSW.
You’ll be part of a program with Engineers Australia and have mentorship from within Essential Energy to develop and reach your goals. Position: Business Change Graduate

As a graduate working within Enterprise Change and Portfolio Services, you’ll embark on a journey to support our customers across Essential Energy in achieving their strategic objectives through change management, change leadership and project management.
You’ll undertake a diverse range of duties such as supporting our project community in various disciplines including financial management, schedule and resource management, risk and issues management, benefits management and more. You will also be engaged in supporting our change community with training, assurance activities, data quality and continuous improvements and providing an enterprise view of change. This role will offer you support, learning opportunities, and hands-on experience in gaining solid understanding of managing large enterprise-wide portfolios.

Degree: Bachelor of Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Machine Learning Engineering or a related degree

Position: Cyber Operations Graduate
Degree: Bachelor of Information Technology or equivalent

As a graduate within our Cyber Operations team, you work as part of the team to identify and assess security threats and advise on how Essential Energy responds to these threats. You will work will the organisation to support the digital change in a safe and secure way by protecting, detecting and responding to cyber threats and events and ensure cyber compliance.
You will also work very closely on a variety of large projects, identifying risks and ensuring the right measures are in place to support the projects, as well as business-as-usual matters. This role offers diversity and challenges on a daily basis, as well as ample opportunity for career growth and development.
Position: Information Technology (Infrastructure) Graduate
Degree: Bachelor of Information Technology, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence or equivalent

As a graduate within the Digital Workplace Services team you will assist in the maintenance and administration of our IT infrastructure, troubleshoot system issues and provide technical support, and implement and monitor security measures to protect our systems.
We provide rotations within system architecture, networking, infrastructure (On-prem and Cloud), software engineering (including low code/no code platforms), testing (manual and automated), system support, cybersecurity investigations, incident management, digital assets, data analysis and reporting.
Position: Information Technology (Risk) Graduate
Degree: Bachelor of Information Technology or equivalent
Location: Anywhere within the Essential Energy footprint
As a graduate within our digital governance, risk and compliance team, you work as part of the team to identify and assess digital risks and advise on how Essential Energy responds to these risks. You will also assist with advising Essential Energy on their digital governance strategy and undertake digital compliance assurance activities. You will support the digital change in a safe and secure way by working closely with our cyber teams protecting, detecting and responding to cyber risks and ensuring cyber compliance.
You will also work very closely on a variety of large projects, identifying risks and ensuring the right measures are in place to support the projects, as well as business-as-usual matters.
