Essential Energy’s 2024 Graduate Program is now open for talented individuals wanting to build their career in a future-focused organisation.

The electricity distributor is powering a new energy future across 95% of NSW and parts of Southern Queensland and is calling for 19 graduates to apply for their 2024 Graduate Program for roles across the organisation in Business, Economics, Electrical Engineering, Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology and Legal/Risk.

Essential Energy’s Chief Human Resources Officer, Amalie Smith said, “We’ve already welcomed our 2023 cohort of 11 new graduates into the business, all of whom are relishing the opportunity to broaden their skills and experience our positive and inclusive culture.”

With Essential Energy’s network footprint stretching across 737,000 square kilometres, graduates are given the opportunity to obtain state-wide industry experience in an industry undergoing significant transition.

“New graduates will have the chance to work in a large, diverse and forward-thinking organisation, which is playing a vital role in the energy industry, the future energy transformation and delivering customer value.

“Our rotational program provides graduates with exposure to all areas of the business, as well as an in-depth overview of an evolving electricity distribution sector,” Amalie added.

“We are very pleased to offer our graduates a hybrid working environment, letting people live and work in many regional towns, allowing the same opportunities afforded to graduates based in capital cities, while still being an active part of their local, regional communities,” Amalie concluded.
